Following our rapid growth in Europe over the last three years, we have expanded from our flagship anonymization service to offer a portfolio of software and SaaS solutions, and we are currently driving international expansion in Asia Pacific, North America and Latin America.   As such, we are now seeking a US-based Vice President of Business Development (North America) to join our growing commercial and sales function. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly innovative company that is at the forefront of privacy tech. 

 

The Role


The Vice President of Business Development (North America) will be responsible for forging strategic partnerships and driving new revenue sources in the USA and Canada.  This role will be pivotal to Truata in driving sales of our new software suite, which includes the ground-breaking Truata Calibrate privacy tech software for the measurement and mitigation of privacy risks in datasets. Working alongside a global team of commercial sales and delivery specialists, you will be responsible for the expansion and maintenance of our customer base in North America. This senior sales role would suit an experienced professional who is keen to play an integral role in building a fast-growing startup in a new region, who is interested in driving trustworthy analytics through new tech tools and who has a track record of success in technical and software solution sales. This role will report to the Global Chief Customer Officer and to the Americas General Manager.  Truata’s North American operations are based in Rye, NY but the VP of Business Development (North America) can work remotely from anywhere in the continental United States. This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship. The successful candidate must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States upon hire. This position cannot be performed in Colorado at this time.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the solutions that Trūata offers, including a focus on its emerging privacy tech software suite
  • Engage with customers and prospects across industries in the USA and Canada to identify opportunities to drive growth and differentiation for their business through the adoption of our privacy enhanced data analytics software tools
  • Build strategic partnerships with data analytics integrators to drive adoption of Truata’s software in their platforms
  • Manage the entire sales cycle with a strong focus on execution
  • Work towards business goals, prioritize and deliver an excellent experience to potential customers
  • Develop a firm grasp of cross-industry data privacy strategies, infrastructures and technologies
  •  Cultivate an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day concerns experienced by C-level individuals when it comes to the use of data, including the interplay between driving value from data while respecting the privacy of the people behind that data
  • Position the unique value of Trūata’s services and solutions to meet the needs of each potential client's business/infrastructure issues
  • Ensure excellence in pipeline development, management and sales execution against targets


What you need

  • 10 years + of US/North America-based experience in a technical and software sales environment
  • 5 years + of US/North America-based experience in Big Data and Analytics
  • Proven track record of outstanding performance and achieving sales and revenue goals
  • Experience of success in consultative selling within large and complex organizations and working with sales channels and reseller partners
  • Expertise in working (client, consultant or vendor) within at least one of the following industry verticals including Telco, Travel & Hospitality, Financial Services, and Retail
  • Ability to explain complex technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences and set in the context of the clients’ business objectives
  • Good network of industry contacts and recognition of the importance of leveraging that network to build business opportunities
  • Strong knowledge of CRM software and a diligent approach to sales administration
  • BA in business administration, sales or marketing preferred.
